These are terrifying signs, as mankind is helpless in the face of most of them. But, Christians will recognize the developing of these signs as warnings, as well as assurance of the nearness of Jesus' appearing. To be ready, of course, requires initial salvation. Do I know Jesus Christ as my personal Savior? Salvation is an ongoing process, as well. He describes the testing of one's faith as a process that is "of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire.
The final result of salvation will be the redemption of the body. Paul says, ". We wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies" Romans This, he explained, would happen when Jesus appears in the rapture.

We can state with assurance that deliverance from sin is possible because we know those who have experienced it. I am one of them. As a young college student, I was living a sinful life. My friends and I went out every weekend looking for a good time. But the day came when the Spirit of God spoke to me, and I prayed a prayer of repentance and was saved. I had no knowledge of how to live a Christian life, but my life was completely changed.
In a moment my temper was gone.
God gave me victory over the old habits and appetites that had been in my life. My intention was to keep the whole matter low key and not make a big deal of telling others, but you cannot low key salvation. When you separate yourself from sin, it becomes apparent before long. A couple of months later, when I stepped into an Apostolic Faith meeting and heard people testify that God had delivered them from sin, it registered.
God had done that for me! Jesus offers a way of life that is distinct from the way of the world. Those who are truly serving God will not blend in. Those who are Rapture ready will not look or behave like sinners. If we are going to serve God, we are going to live differently. Choosing to serve God creates a great gulf between us and the world. Those who are taken up in the Rapture will not only have been saved, but they will have stayed saved.
We must keep walking humbly with God and look His way daily. That will take effort. People are motivated by what makes them happy; the mindset typically is, What do I want?
What is best for me? However, when we get saved, we no longer seek to please ourselves; we seek to please God. We must not be deceived. True Bible teaching inspires and instructs us to live godly lives and stay close to God. Looking again at Matthew 24, Jesus went on to tell His disciples of other signs that would occur in the days before His return. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

However, drifting into a lukewarm state spiritually is not necessary. Yes, there will be activities along the way that will be distracting. There will be trials and tests in our spiritual lives. Some will fall by the wayside, but we cannot allow that to impact us. We will stand alone before God. We are accountable as individuals, so the choices others make must not influence us.
If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. Although in the context of this particular passage, the Second Coming seems to be in view. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
The application to most if not all of us is to be ready at death for the coming of the Lord for us just as we should be ready at all times for the Second Coming. The New Testament tells us that we are living in the presence of the Lord and that we should always realize that we will all stand before Him when He comes. Therefore, we should live our lives in such a way that we are always ready to face Him when He comes.
See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the fall and spring rains.
The Truth of The Rapture
The Judge is standing at the door! So, we should be careful how we live. Another passage gives us this sense of living in the presence of the coming Lord as if His Second Coming is upon us. We should live in the light of that day knowing that what we do here now is in anticipation of that Day. He is now in the presence of the Lord and will face Him soon when He comes back.
RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH - END TIMES EVENTS
Yet, having seen that we are to live in the light of the Second Coming, it is at death that most if not all of us will face the Lord. Death can come to us suddenly and we should always be ready to meet the Lord when that time comes. The Lord may take our life at a time when we would not expect it. I have no place to store my crops. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.
This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself? He was not ready to meet God. Yet, he would die and have to face the Lord. Both Paul and Peter mention their impending deaths.
